WOW! You knocked my socks off! I was SO impressed with both teams on Saturday. Great job!

I love to save money and energy, so we changed 4 lightbulbs to CF bulbs. The room is a little dark at first, but once these bulbs warm up it is bright!

Hey, I have an idea for next year....how about a project on "changing" from disposable diapers to cloth diapers?? ie. saving money and environment... I'll even let you come over and practice!;)

Thank you for teaching me about lightbulbs!
You all light up my world.
Love,
Mrs. Henry

We changed 10 bulbs at our house. They were each about 60W. Changed to the 13W CF.

Our family will never buy another incandescent bulb again. There is no reason to waste electricity with the old bulbs. The CF bulbs are just as bright. Next is to change out my Halogen bulbs in the kitchen. I think I can save a couple hundred $ a year there. Thanks Geeks Gold team for the bright idea.

We replaced 8 60W indoor incandescent bulbs with 14W compact flourescent bulbs. We will also be changing 4-8 outdoor 60W incandescent bulbs depending upon how well they work with low temperatures.

We changed one bulb. Since we live in the mill we only have a couple bulbs we are responsible for. We bought a 14W bulb that replaced a 75W bulb.

While at Lowe's, I bought a six pack of 14W (replaces 60W) bulbs for $5.97 less $1 rebate. That makes the bulbs about 83 cents each!

I had sent the flyer out to all of our friends and family, here is a response we have received:

Please tell Robert that the pamphlet was excellent...very informative.
Sounds like he is having fun and learning a lot as well. Since Robert's team is
keeping track of how many light bulbs people are changing as a result of
their efforts, please let him know that I went out and bought 10 bulbs
yesterday. I am slowly going to replace all of the bulbs in our house...and
yes, their persuasion convinced me. Tell him to keep up the great work!!!!

Great idea. We have replaced all of the lightbulbs in our home from 75 watt bulbs to 13 watt CFL bulbs. That is a total of 12 bulbs.

I have also forwarded all of the information you have gathered onto my work where the information is being distributed throughout the building.

Great job team
